The Build-A-Plane program by Flight Expo is an interactive program that allows students to build a full scale aircraft. It teaches students different mechanical skills such as welding, riveting, fabric covering, and similar aspects that are used in aircraft construction. Students in the Build-A-Plane program also have increased access to the Flight Expo Flying Club, where students may fly aircraft and take flight training lessons or study ground school in order to become a pilot.
The first session starts in October and ends in Mid December. The second session goes from February to the beginning of May. Students meet every Tuesday and every other Saturday to work on aircraft and learn new techniques and skills.
Tuesdays students meet from 5:30 to 8:15 PM.
Saturdays the program starts at 9:00 AM and ends at noon.
Students learn new skills such as riveting, drilling rivets, parts of an aircraft, welding, fabric covering, painting, and many other important skills.
Flight Expo, Inc's Build A Plane $100 tuition also includes a membership into Flight Expo's Flying Club. Please contact us at 763-568-3360 for more information on both the Build-A-Plane program or the flying club.
