The Build-A-Plane program by Flight Expo is an interactive program that allows students to build a full scale aircraft. It teaches students different mechanical skills such as welding, riveting, fabric covering, and similar aspects that are used in aircraft construction. Students in the Build-A-Plane program also have increased access to the Flight Expo Flying Club, where students may fly aircraft and take flight training lessons or study ground school in order to become a pilot.
There are two sessions of Flight Expo's Build A Plane program. The Fall session starts in October and ends Mid December. The Spring session goes from February to the beginning of May.
Students meet every Tuesday and every other Saturday to work on aircraft and learn new techniques and skills.
Tuesdays are from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.
Saturdays are from 9:00 am and ends at noon.
Students learn and develop skills such as: riveting, drilling, parts of an aircraft, welding, fabric covering, painting, and many other important skills.
Flight Expo, Inc's Build A Plane tuition students have the opportunity to join Flight Expo's Flying Club.
