Flight Expo Inc. reaches out to the community through its programs who promote aviation through their own unique ways. These include both the Build-A-Plane program and the Tsunami Project.
The Build A Plane program is made up of hardworking youth who have found an interest in aviation.
Build a plane is in its sixth year and currently is working on planes such as Tsunami, a Luscomb, and a Piper Colt.
Our goal is to create an opportunity for youth to get involved in aviation by allowing them to get hands on with real aircraft.
The Tsunami Project is an experimental racing plane thought up by John Sandberg and Bruce Boland, built to compete in the unlimited air races and capture the absolute world record for propeller powered aircraft.
The Tsunami Project today is focused on rebuilding the legendary aircraft to compete once again in the air races.
The goal of Tsunami is not just to break the world speed record, but also influence today's youth to become interested in the fields of aviation.
