The Stoof was ready for it's BIG move to Flight Expo, Inc in Princeton, MN! Flight Expos' Build-A-Plane students met at the Anoka Co. Airport to check on the progress and final preparations before the move began at 11:00 PM.
Wednesday Morning, February 7th, 2024
The early morning was met with the hustle and bustle of a number of our local news channel crews as the S2F Tracker arrived at the Princeton Municipal Airport. Sharon Sandberg, the volunteer CEO of Flight Expo, Inc. and Frank Huber, a great supporter of ours and the last pilot to fly the Stoof, were on hand for interviews.
We are very grateful to Anderson Building Movers for the care that was taken in this intricate move and Jake of J. Callahan Photography for the morning after photos and drone video on YouTube. The video gives a great birds eye view of the Stoof before it was unloaded. Please like Jake's video (below) and subscribe to his YouTube channel, @j.callahanphotography1461 !
Thank you to Fox 9, WCCO 4, and KSTP 5 for covering the story of our move! Click the buttons below to view the news stories and drone footage.
This move would not have been possible without the in kind and financial donations we have received from all of you and our volunteers. A special thank you to Duane Kruse, Sharon Sandberg, and Faith Connors for their countless hours of planning and fundraising. Without you, this move would not have been possible!

Our goal is to create an opportunity for youth ages 12 - 18 to get involved in and explore aviation careers by allowing them to get hands on experience with real aircraft.
All work on aircraft is done under the supervision of a Licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.
Join the Flying Club to learn and experience flying through our flight school program. Students will be responsible for working on their own using Sporty's Learn to Fly Course as a portion of their ground school.
Flight Expo's Flying Club is open to adults as well our Build-A-Plane students.
