We offer a classical education curriculum which emphasizes mastery of the fundamentals of rhetoric, literature, grammar, science, mathematics, history, government, economics, Latin, theology, and philosophy. Among the countless advantages to a classical education, one is that it teaches many different subjects but always with a focus on a complete understanding of humanity and the physical world. It furthermore seeks to draw connections among the various disciplines, as well as their influence on the past, present, and future of human culture, government, and society.
We strive also to give our students the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in life and in the work place. We offer vocational training, including internship programs and hands-on courses, for those students who wish to pursue a trade or technical career, or who wish to pursue an entrepreneurial endeavor.
Classical Academy offers Honors Courses for students seeking to excel and study with more depth particular subjects. Honors Courses are also designed to prepare students to take a corresponding college-level examination as an opportunity to earn college credits. Classical Academy currently offers 15 such courses.
Our curriculum is centered on understanding subject matter rather than merely memorizing it. The curriculum thus incorporates three teaching models into its program: Socratic methodology, lecturing, and project-based learning. All of these methods are integrated together to ensure a well-rounded and interdisciplinary approach to education.
